  1. Always be wary when people go to theological dictionaries written in the 1800s as their source rather than the actual source documents which are pretty readily available nowadays.

    1. Yes–those dictionaries often say more about the theological disposition of the editors, and the state of academic research at that time, than they do the actual beliefs of being described.
